Love Letters - Two

Dear Jayden,

Last night we had another moment.

I decided to sing a little made-up song to you to try to get you ready for sleep. We were just laying on the bed, me and you, while Daddy was getting his stuff together for the next morning. When I finished my little song, you grabbed my finger and started sucking on my knuckle. And then, it was the sweetest thing, you started singing back to me. Well, humming really. I didn't realize it at first but you just kept humming away and making your sweet noises. You weren't really looking at me; it was like you were concentrating really hard to get the notes just right. It was the most adorable thing and I loved hearing you. I just laid there watching you for the longest time as you sang your song. I just hope you love hearing me as much. You finally hummed yourself into a half asleep, half awake state and then the moment was over.
